On 17 and 18 July the conference of the World Association of Sign Language Interpreters (WASLI) will take place in Paris. The AIIC Sign Language Network will be there too! See who is coming: https://youtu.be/lAvBzoK1njg
Come to our small informal Sign Language Network event at the European Parliament in Brussels on Tuesday 4 December. The event is for interpreters by interpreters!
You will have the opportunity to ask anything you always wanted to know about sign language interpreting! We will also share and discuss cooperation between sign and spoken language interpeters and provide you with any latest updates and information in the field.
We will start at 18.00 hours and end at 19.15 hours.
Six years ago, ADICA (the Argentine Association of Conference Interpreters) decided to celebrate the ‘Conference Interpreters’ Day’ on November 20th, a significant date because on that very day, in 1945, the Nuremberg Trials began and simultaneous interpretation appeared center stage before the world.
This year, for the very first time, the celebration will take place in two cities: Buenos Aires and Madrid. Let’s hope that soon other countries join the initiative and maybe, some day, we’ll be able to get November 20th declared as the International Conference Interpreters’ Day!
